With temperatures expected to soar into the low to mid-90s this weekend and many area beaches closed due to cyanobacteria blooms, it can be difficult to ways stay cool and still have fun.

We've compiled a list of summer weekend activities for you to consider that will keep you cool and won't break the bank.

Summer is a perfect time to go see a blockbuster movie on the big screen. Grab some popcorn, a drink and stay cool while enjoying the latest spectacle.

For a classic movie feel, try one of the three drive-in Movie theaters in Vermont, including the Colchester Drive In, Bethel Drive In or Fairlee Drive In theaters.

Too hot for the kids to play outside? Check out an indoor playground, like Monkey Do in Williston, or Get Air Indoor trampoline park on Omega Drive.

Science lovers can check out the ECHO Leahy Center on the Burlington Waterfront, which features special events, a 3D theater and hands-on exhibits for kids.
