YPSILANTI, MI – The Mix Fitness Studios has recently expanded by opening a second location in Ypsilanti’s Depot Town

The business at 306 N. River St. had its grand opening for the new location on June 3.

The Mix Fitness Studios is a fitness studio that offers personal training, group fitness classes, trampoline rebounding fitness, yoga, nutrition coaching and more for both in-person and online classes.

Most of the studio’s personal training and small group training will continue at its first location at 511 W. Cross St.

This new location provides more opportunities for larger classes, said Sarah Kreiner, The Mix Fitness Studios owner. Currently the location has strength training, suspension training, yoga and trampoline rebounding classes.

Trampoline rebounding classes consist of workouts centered around bouncing on a fitness trampoline, and the new location allows the business to offer more of these classes, Kreiner said.

“The expansion grew from wanting to have more classes, specifically our trampoline classes, which people are really loving,” Kreiner said. “I’m just super excited about being able to share the trampoline workouts or bounce classes with more people and to be able to add (to them).”

The business started in Ann Arbor in 2016. However, after dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, Kreiner decided she wanted The Mix Fitness Studios to operate in her hometown of Ypsilanti instead. She opened the first location in 2021.

With her locations, Kreiner hopes she can get more people within her community to come to in-person classes while also growing the company’s online audience.

“I’m really just thrilled to offer something fun to do in the community that healthy and for a variety of different people,” she said.
