We're headed into the last leg of summer and with the heat wave Shreveport is currently experiencing, finding a way to keep the kids entertained while indoors can be challenging. 

Shreveport and Bossier City have many options to beat the heat and keep the kids happy until school starts back. From trampoline parks and arcades to libraries and art galleries, here's all the places to take them for some fun out of the sun. 

With over 80 top rope routes, over 60 boulder problems to overcome and 100ft rings course, there is plenty to do at 318 Climb. Kids and adults can enjoy hours of entertainment with the only kilter board in the region that provides over 5,000 unique climbs in addition to events like glow in the dark parties.

This 25,000 square foot park in Bossier City includes high-energy equipment to keep the kids entertained for hours. Wall to wall trampolines, basketball and dodgeball courts, a ninja warrior course and giant foam pit are sure to get out all of that pent-up energy and make for a fun day. 

Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. toddlers ages 3 - 6 can enjoy the park for $6.99 and children 2 and under are free with $5.05 admission for parents. 

On Sundays from Noon - 8 p.m. get 3 hours of jumping for $15.95

RFC always has the latest movies showing as well as throwback films to entertain all ages. From daily and nightly showings to family matinees, there are plenty of options to entertain the kids with a day at the movies. 

RFC's box office is open Tuesday - Sunday 2 - 9 p.m. and is located at 617 Texas St. in Shreveport.

This is the only IMAX Dome Theatre in the state of Louisiana. IMAX's large film format combined with a curved screen three stories tall means the audience becomes immersed in the movie. One IMAX movie is included in the general admission pricing or are $5 / person if you only want to watch a movie. 

General admission is $15 / person and includes all day access to PoP Children's Museum, one showing at the IMAX Dome Theatre, the Sawyer Space Dome Planetarium and all exhibit galleries.

The library is the perfect place to bring the kids and let them explore and expand their minds. Whether it's just a day of reading and signing up for your first library card or participating in one of the many events, there's a lot to keep the kids entertained. 

All above locations are open Monday - Wednesday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Thursday - Saturday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The new adventure park by Drew Brees opened in Bossier City in early April and will provide a days worth of entertainment for kids and kids-at-heart. There is plenty to do with two bowling alleys, two-level laser tag, a ropes course, rock walls, a soft-play area, sports simulators, an arcade and more. 

Peak hours are Friday after 5 p.m., all day Saturday and Sunday and select holidays. 

The two-story laser tag arena features a multi-level, glow-in-the-dark black light skirmish between two teams where you can run up ramps, dash around obstacles and challenge your friends and family to high-energy fun. 

Go head-to-head with 13 of the most popular sports and interactive games available to rent by the hour. Popular games include golf, football, basketball, hockey, baseball and zombie dodgeball.

XD Dark Ride Interactive Video Game Experience
