In addition to trick or treat without sugar, the event also provides free hot dogs, drinks, ice cream, marshmallows and funnel cakes.

Amanda Duckworth, Kaleb Duckworth's mother and one of the main organizers of the event, said that since the first time she posted this idea on social media, the community's response to the event has been very enthusiastic.

"People showed up and took over all the barbecue, so we can enjoy it; there is so much love," Amanda Duckworth said. "I think there are 90% of the people here I don't know; they are people who follow his story and just want to come for Kaleb; they support us through all this."

According to Amanda Duckworth, seeing how many people were directly or indirectly affected by her son's story during the event gave her and her family an emotional experience. “Some nurses from STICU and the emergency room are here, even the 911 dispatchers answering the phone, so many people who were with Kaleb that night came out,” said Amanda Duckworth. "So this is an exciting day, just to see a lot of people show up in Kaleb."

According to Kaleb's father Tommy Duckworth, hundreds of community members participated in the event, even more than their family expected.

"We were surprised by the turnout," Tommy Duckworth said. "We thought 700 hot dogs would be enough, we had enough drinks and everything, but we ran out of everything and had to buy more."

Dozens of local individuals, groups and companies contributed to the event by donating sweets and other snacks, gift baskets for the lucky draw, hot dogs and beverages. According to Amanda Duckworth, they continued to receive donations until the day of the event. "We have had a lot of people showing up and bringing us a lottery," said Amanda Duckworth. "Like when we came here, they showed up with their company stuff and said,'Do you want to draw a lottery here?', so it's really cool."

Amanda Duckworth said that she and her family recently formally established a foundation called "Love Kaleb Inc." in memory of her son. Under the name of the foundation, they plan to contribute to the community in the name of Kaleb in order to preserve his memory.

"We have his logo, his name, and his foundation motto," Amanda Duckworth said. "Thanksgiving Day we adopted four families, throughout Thanksgiving Day, Christmas we adopted four families between Lumpkin and Dawson, buy Christmas gifts for their children-we will do truck shows and ride motorcycles, and many other things His memory."

Amanda Duckworth said that trucks and snack activities will be something her son absolutely loves.

"He would like this-he would be in the middle, maybe dancing on one of the trucks," Amanda Duckworth said. "It's just that everyone has fun, laughs, and has fun; that's what he likes."
